Margaret Ann “Margie” Fulk, 73

Margaret Ann “Margie” Fulk, 73 of Effingham, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham, with a private burial in Oakridge Cemetery. Margie had requested those in attendance, to please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sarah Bush Lincoln Cancer Center and Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospice.

Margie was born December 30, 1949 in Shumway, the daughter of Marvin & Laura Berniece (Walls) Klein. She married Charles “Leon” Fulk on February 21, 1970 and he preceded her in death in 2017. Margie worked in the bindery at World Color Press in Effingham for many years, until it closed in 2004. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, and fishing with family and friends. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Margie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Mona Steffen (Steve Kinnaman) of Effingham; special friend, Dorn Johnston of Gardner; grandchildren, Mallory (Marty) Jansen of Effingham, Matt (Katie) Steffen of Salem, and Marranda (Dakota) Kincaid of Altamont; great-grandchildren, Leo, Anthony, and Joanna Jansen, Charlie and John Steffen, and Ava, Waylon, & Baby Kincaid (due in December); siblings, Leonard (Fran) Klein of Homosassa, FL, Clifford (Mary) Klein, James (Carol) Klein, Charles (Sheila, deceased) Klein, Thomas (Brenda) Klein, and Doris (Herb, deceased) Jones all of Effingham, Patricia (Leon) Wohltman of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Rita (Ron) Short, Melba (Polly) Winterrowd.
