Roger Lee Hough, 70, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, with Pastor Tim Loomis officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham, IL. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Roger was born on March 20, 1953 in Olney, IL, the son of Glen and Cora (McClure) Hough. He married Diane Einhorn on October 28, 1995, and she survives.
Roger was a hardworking man, primarily in the oil industry in his youth and later as a semi-truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors, working in the yard, camping and time with family.
Roger is survived by 3 children from a previous marriage, Tina (Alan) Walker of Olney, IL, Tamie (Jesse) Sager of Olney, IL, and Terry (Chasity) Hough of Bridgeport, IL; step-daughter, Michelle Einhorn of Peoria, IL; 2 sisters, Sandy (Bud) Herman of Claremont, IL, and Cathy (Don) Wilson of Olney, IL; brother, Gene Hough of Hennessey, OK; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant granddaughter, Elizabeth Walker; and brothers, James Hough and Danny Hough.
