Kelli Jo Moon, 43, of Greenup, IL, passed away unexpectedly due to a car accident on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the funeral home.
Kelli was born on October 30, 1980, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Debby Wagner and Henry “Joe” Moon.
Kelli’s biggest love were her 2 daughters, Destin and Penni Matlock. She was a giving person and was always willing to help others. Kelli loved the color purple, music, gardening and her flowers, and coloring with her girls.
Kelli is survived by her daughters, Destin and Penni Matlock; mother, Debby (Doug, deceased) Wagner; father, Henry “Joe” (Mary Ann) Moon; siblings, Adam (Diana) Moon, Jackson (Erica) Loy, Sarah Loy, Danielle Wagner, and Brant (Evelyn) Wagner; bonus brother, Jimmy (Macie) Kirgan; 15 nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles, Pam Rieman, Kent (Lori) Baker, Russ Baker, and Georgiana Baker.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Mary Baker and Charles and Mary Eileen Moon; and father, Doug Wagner.
