Martha Lou Deain, age 86, of Louisville, passed away at 4:10 am, Sunday, December 24, 2017, at Brookstone Suites in Effingham.
Martha was born Thursday, October 8, 1931 in Mason, IL, the daughter of the late Ward and Helen Eileen (Hall) Van Dyke. On October 8, 1950 she was united in marriage to Harold D. Deain in Flora, IL. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2006.
She was employed by North Clay Unit #25 as a secretary and bookkeeper for 25 years. She was a member of the Louisville United Methodist Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing, daughters, Tamara (Roger Anderson) Beck of Greenup, IL and Michelle (Doug) Mueller of Jackson, MO; brothers, Doug (Sabra) Van Dyke of Louisville, Monte (Susan) Van Dyke of Mason, Mark (Marcia) Van Dyke of Naperville, IL; sister-in-law, Chris Van Dyke of Maryville, TN; grandchildren, Courtney (Ryan) Goodner of Hoopeston, IL, Austin (Brittany) Mueller of Jackson, MO; great grandchildren, Ace and Wyatt Goodner and step great-grandchild, Brylea Goodner.
Martha was precedeed in death by her parents, husband and brother, Robert Van Dyke and sister, Jean Baker.
Arrangements are entrusted to J.W. Neal Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Thursday, December 28, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Louisville United Methodist Church or Parkinson’s Foundation and will be received at the funeral home.
