Pamela Sue Schafer, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 8:50 AM - Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM - Friday, June 15, 2018, at Trexler Cemetery in rural Newton, Illinois, with Mike Knepper officiating. Arrangements are under care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Pamela was born in Newton, Illinois, on August 16, 1952, the daughter of Herbert Eugene and Betty Louise (Durbin) Matlock.
Pamela worked at UTA and E.R. Moore Cap and Gown Factory in Newton for many years.
Pamela is survived by: Sons - Jason Schafer of Wheeler, Illinois; Kevin Schafer of Effingham, Illinois and Aaron Schafer of Newton, Illinois.
Granddaughter - Evelynn Schafer of Newton, Illinois.
Mother - Betty Matlock of Newton, Illinois; Sister - Sandy Lamb of Newton, Illinois.
Special companion and caregiver - Lynn Schafer of Newton, Illinois.
Pamela was preceded in death by her father and sister Linda Lee Decker.
