Gail Ruth Biehler, 90, of Strasburg, IL, passed away at 7:36 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019, in Shelbyville Manor.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Grace Lutheran Cemetery or Donor's Choice.
Gail was born on January 7, 1929, in Strasburg, IL, the daughter of Harry E. and Lula (Schrimpf) Spannagel. She graduated from Strasburg High School in the Class of 1946. Gail married Lawrence Dean Biehler on August 2, 1947. Gail and Lawrence co-owned Biehler Hatchery in Strasburg, IL for many years. Gail later worked at Strasburg State Bank. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Strasburg, IL, where she taught Sunday school for 35 years and was active in Ladies Aid.
She is survived by cousins, nieces and a nephew.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lula Spannagel; and husband, Lawrence Biehler on April 15, 2001.
